BEHIND THE CANVAS

I am an artist living in Barcelona, a city in which I have worked as a designer and art teacher over the years.  Growing demand for my portraits, abstract compositions and landscapes led to me spending more and more time on artistic commissions and I am now a full time artist. 

 

I seek to establish a personal bond with my clients so as to enable me to develop the artistic approach to, and concepts underpinning, each of my commissions. The establishment of this relationship is particularly important for the creation of portraits and interior design pieces as in these I seek to reflect the individuality and personalities of my clients.

 

In my portrait work I combine the physical reality of minor details that make us each unique with my perception of the sitter's personality.  My aim is portray their most important features, both physical and characteristic.

 

My Abstract Compositions are influenced heavily by light, contrast, movement and colour.
